Sandra Richardson was an incredible artist , poet, social activist and founded many internationally renowned ground breaking youth and community projects in the North of England. She was a much loved wife of Clare Beloved and an adored friend and family member.

Sandra lived courageously with Stage 4 breast cancer for 3 years. When she went into hospice she realised the staff had no place to rest in their breaks. She decided she wanted to raise funds for a healing staffroom for Marie Curie Hospice in Liverpool who looked after her so profoundly. After spending her life working tirelessly in communities in Liverpool Sandra and her wife Clare helped the doctors, nurses, all staff design a space that would remain for years to come a sanctuary for staff decorated with Sandras art work and Clares designs. The funds raised over 25K went to building a beautiful rest and renew space for staff working 12 hour shifts. The staff healing room has transformed the days and nights of staff working at the hospice and they contact us regularly to tell us how it has made their lives much more comfortable and less stressful.

Sandra died at a Marie Curie Liverpool on Wed 25th August 2021. She lives on powerfully in her legacy and words. The fundraising continues is in Sandras memory. We loved her deeply.
