The sea that carries you home (originally published late 2021)

Soul Bones by Sandra Richardson

“I'm just imagining

the sea out there

How it moves

the world

Not constant

But waves and waves

of turning

Being the soft

the hard of life

In waves and waves

Of joy and grief

The way of love

The way of meaning

So much Power”

Sandra painted this picture during lockdown during a painting journey we were running It was a gift to be locked down together in our magic house - just days and days of ordinary magic ... It was hard to watch this painting unfold on the canvas just as it was heartbreaking to watch so much of her journey over the last three years. To witness such loss... my heart split open and I broke a little every single day. I know this stunning image was the death boat carrying her to another place ...her body, spirit and soul ...so beautiful and so heart wrenching . She said I’m glad I’m going first because I couldn’t deal with losing you and besides only you will know exactly what to do with my life’s work”
