Standing and breathing in the shadows ...

Deep breaths and finding a path to forge where there is non ...

I don’t run from the difficult places but sometimes it’s hard to stand tall in them and breathe...

I always longed for a tribe of strong women when I was little, a Baba Yaga to have my back and speak up for me, to burn away the untruth and lies ...

That’s why I think it is that I paint big giant mama goddesses of substance and magic and wise juicy strength.

When my fabulous, strong, passionate friend and mentor Anita died someone asked at the funeral

“where will we find those strong outspoken wise women now” 

and I said

“we have to become those women, we are those women now”

...onwards
