More about fairytale Medicine

Step through our juicy portal and journey through a wild landscape of fantastical kick ass fairy tales that will help you reconnect with your intuition, fall in love with your raw irreverent instinctual self, and weave juicier new baddass stories for your future.

For thousands of years across all cultures, stories have offered profound medicine. They were passed down from generation to generation, connecting us to the universal and archetypal that resides within each of us. Offering pathways for navigating challenging times and coming back to our inner knowing. Our society has mostly lost this connection and after childhood, most of us lose our relationship with stories. We will also explore how the over-culture don’t always want us to remember our wild selves! Working with the tales is powerful transformative stuff and many participants have been surprised at how deeply it touches them and begins to work on liberating long held patterns.

These deep woven stories are a way of being on a kind of pilgrimage together in new landscapes - as we learn to lay down the stories of our lives next to these mythical adventures we will find doorways and portals into new ways of being and new chapters of wildness and freedom. The stories represent redemption, belonging, resurrection and renewal for us as individuals and on a deeper level for our society and communities. Together we will huddle around the virtual fire and snuggle in to hear the stories anew and begin to see how this is a story of our lives and our world too.

We will move our gaze beyond the obvious and the symbolism to find our own personal myths and authentic lost stories and remember the songs we need to sing to bring us back to FULL WILD life again in all our instinctive gorgeousness ! We will play in a rich tapestry of methods from Clares work, including ritual, meditation, movement, circle work, wild mark making, shrine making, poetry, creative writing etc to connect to the lost bones of our own feral nature and bring them back to life with colour, words, music and community.

You have "Women Who Run with the Wolves" on your bookshelf getting dusty - you love the idea of it but struggle to read it on your own (or perhaps you’ve never even heard of this book, you’ll still be welcome!)

You would love to explore fairy tales with others in a deep, supportive, juicy way

Your life needs a wild shake up and you are hungry for some creative magic to help in the process

You need reminding  how perfect you already are in all your raw, realness and permission to be even more YOU

You feel like life needs a wild shake up and you are hungry for some creative magic to help in the process

You struggle to connect with your intuition and want to finally trust yourself and your inner knowing despite society and our upbringing sometimes telling us otherwise

You want to find a place where all your feeling and expressions are honoured, to get away from spiritual bypassing and find a place where you don’t have to be nice, good, acceptable or calm all the time!

You’ve become disconnected from your creativity and want to reconnect to yourself

The course strives to be as inclusive as possible, everyone is welcome to apply and we especially want to let people know that we provide a warm safe welcome to people with gender identities which are different to that assigned at birth and/or their sexual identity being other than heterosexual. Some of the language of the book we work from is of its time but we seek to challenge that as we move through the stories and offer juicy alternative possibilities.

The course is not for you; if you want to teach this programme, it is not a train the trainers and the material is for personal use only. This is part of the agreement of signing up for the journey

Clare trained with Dr. Estes, author of Women Who Run With The Wolves, at the Archetypal and Cross-Cultural Studies Institute in Colorado. This means she is one of the few hundred people with permission to facilitate these stories. She will be offering some powerful insights from Dr Estes’ teaching for using this book as a therapeutic medicine. Clare has been facilitating beautiful year-long Women Who Run with the Wolves courses in-person for 3 years. She brings 26+ years experience as a therapist, artist and creative group facilitator to weave much deep diving and irreverence of her own. The journey is Clare’s own twist and take on the stories and the practices we weave here are her own from her creative and therapeutic body of work developed over 26 years. You can learn more about Clares work here and videos of her past workshops.
