The world has never looked so beautiful (16 April 2020)

It was my birthday, at the beginning of March 2020, before many of us realised we were on the edge of the pandemic we find ourselves in. I was in a beautiful village just outside Palma on my own and got up early to celebrate my birthday and make a wish…my wish for myself was that I could get up early each morning and appreciate the dawn…. here are my early morning walks in Sefton Park, Liverpool each day …often visiting the same scenes and favourite trees …the world has never seemed so precious or looked so beautiful …

UPDATE : We are now in second lockdown or is it third ? The trees, the landscape, the parks near my home mainly Sefton Park but also occasionally Princes Park have sustained me. Nature has kept me from loosing my mind some days. At times when my wanderlust has been intense and I have become bored of the same trees which I know by heart and the same paths I have knelt on the ground and zoomed in on a micro world of mosses and lichen and found a whole other universe to explore. I know these pictures have inspired others to photograph places on their walks too and that makes me so happy. I have also made prints and packs of cards from the pictures which sold out twice over- if you would like to be on a waiting list for the next packs let me know …enjoy
